In SOLITUDE, my first solo concert I wish to invite the audience to the "white room" where I am with the drums. The white room is a symbol of solitude and through my drum compositions, my melodies, I'm questing what colors, emotions, arise in that state. The question I wish to leave with the audience is: What is solitude to you? Do you choose it or does it scare you, and if so why?
Enter this space without expectations, a white room without masks or shoulds. Lean back and let the beat touch your heart-beat, the simple melodies find your soul. You are alone and you are free. But we're alone together.
What is Time?
You can’t put a finger on it, but you can still spend a little of it in the warm & fuzzy sonic lounge Sweet Like Time conjures. Their songs are jazzy, melodic & bittersweet; exploring the magical weave of expectant silence and tonal release. Whether you are taken on a trip far away on the wings of a daydream, or simply mesmerized into zen-like pure being: Sometimes their songs gently remind you that you are, in fact, floating lazily in a sea of mystery – What is Time?
Bass: Dag Tore Johnsen
Drums/percussion: Maria Bovin deLabbé
Vocal and guitar: Sjur Tobiassen
Welcome to a lovely evening with music in the autumn darkness.
Three female artists, with quite different musical universes, has gathered to create and perform a comprehensive concert for the audience.
You will hear beautiful Norwegian folksong-pop from Kiné Kaborg, Jaque Brel and Thåström "in Norwegian" from Beate Myrvold and her band (Carl Fredrik Falkenberg, piano, Jan-Öyvind Grung Sture, cello and Maria Bovin de Labbé on percussion), and newly written "harp-pop" from Marianne Jørgensen with her band.
The host of the evening, Marianne Jørgensen, will guide the audience through the evening, and create a continental touch on the evening.
Keywords for the concert are: moving, meaningful, powerful, unique and, poetic.
I'm so excited to announce that I'm releasing my book "7 Mindful Drumming Meditation" on May 10th, the day of the Full Flower Moon. I wish to celebrate it by inviting you to a Facebook Live Celebration Party where I will display the cover art, discuss her inspiration and process, take questions, and guide attendees through one of the meditations in the book.
You don´t have to sign up, just show up :)
Peace & Love,
Since ancient times, women have danced to feel their power, heal their pains, support each other through childbirth and other rites of passage, and connect with the earth, the divine spirit in all things.
I´ll be drumming at this event that happens online the 15th of March. Sama Morningstar and Sophia Hoffer Perkins, AKA Sophia Wise One, will be our guides in this healing dance journey focused on recentering us in our wombs, awakening our womb power, and nourishing our wild feminine spirits.
Now as many women struggle with living lives so disconnected from the rhythms of nature, our bodies, our spirits, it is deeply nourishing to come together and dance our way back to center.
To join in, please join the LunaWave Womb Awakening Grove.
Welcome to see my and many other greats artists art this weekend!
