Mindful Drumming is a way of learning, practicing, and playing the frame drum mindfully: with intention, from the heart and connected with the present moment, the drum, your body, mind, and soul. In Mindful Drumming, all aspects of frame drumming are embraced and thought of the emotional, mental, physical, technical, and, in time, spiritual.
Mindful Drumming encourages the student to find and focus on her strengths as a musician. Something that will enable her to find her unique voice as a musician.
Studying Mindful Drumming can be a step toward playing the frame drum with awareness, ease, and depth. It can be valuable for beginner frame drummers and more advanced students who wish to play with more presence and calm and reexplore the basics.
