Mindful Drumming™ & Mindful Rhythm Work™ - Two unique methods by Maria Bovin de Labbé

  • WHAT TO EXPECT

Centering practices to connect with your breath and body, Mindful Walk, vocalizing syllables as a rhythm practice, body percussion, and finally, silence to process and reflect.

  • BENEFITS

Connecting to your body, mind, and emotions, increasing awareness of internal and external rhythms, building confidence to face challenges without self-criticism, and creating a fun, energizing, and meaningful experience.

For groups - fostering deep connection within the group, building community through shared experiences, enhancing team cohesion and communication. Suitable for diverse audiences and settings.

Mindful Rhythm Work is a unique method, and workshop, that I have developed over the past years while teaching relation & communication, and percussion at the Norwegian Academy of Music in the Music & Health program. This approach expands beyond traditional drumming lessons into a holistic practice connecting body with mind to achieve a state of mindfulness. The method bridges rhythm, voice, and body to create an experience that is fun, energizing, and deeply meaningful.

Through this method, participants discover how to connect with their internal rhythms while staying aware of what's happening both internally and externally—a practice that complements drumming instruction while offering its own transformative path.

This integrated approach helps you connect body with mind, becoming aware of your internal rhythms while staying present to what's happening both internally and externally. The method works on many levels, making it valuable for individuals seeking personal growth and groups wanting to connect more deeply.

Mindful Rhythm Work is perfect for anyone seeking to connect more deeply with themselves and others through rhythm—from complete beginners to experienced musicians, individuals to groups.

No musical experience required—just an open heart and willingness to explore.
